ALBRIGHT, Valerie - (n.1959) A contrabaixista norte-americana estudou com Henry Portnoi no New ngland Conservatory. Mudou-se para o Brasil em 1982 e após estabelecer-se profissionalmente em São Paulo naturalizou-se Brasileira. Desde então, Valerie tem atuado nas principais orquestras brasileiras, incluindo Orquestra Sinfônica de Campinas, Orquestra de Câmara de Campinas, Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo e Orquestra de Câmara Nova Sinfonieta. É co-fundadora e sócia da ABC - Associação Brasileira de Contrabaixistas, através da qual co-organizou vários eventos naiconais e internacionais. Valerie vem representando o Brasil em conferencias internacionais como a ISB (International Society of Bassists) em1997 e atuando como professora convidada em festivais no Brasil. Atualmente Valerie leciona na UNESP - Universidade Estadual Paulista e á membro da Orquestra Sinfonica Municaipal de São Paulo.

ALBRIGHT, Valerie – (b.1959) American double bassist, she studied with Henry Portnoi at the New England Conservatory. She moved to Brazil in 1982. Since then she has played in several major orchestras including Campinas Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, São Paulo Symphony Orchestra and Nova Sinfonieta Chamber Orchestra. Albright is co-founder and member of the Brazilian Society of Bassists, through which she co-organized several national and international events. She has been representing Brazil in international conferences such as the ISB (International Society of Bassists) in 1997 and teaching in many festivals throughout Brazil. She is currently teaching at UNESP - State University of São Paulo and is a member of the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of São Paulo.
